For all who like to move in the untouched nature, Fusch is the ideal place in the heart of the National Park Hohe Tauern. No matter if it is the spectacular Großglockner High Alpine Road or the Ferleitental, a high valley surrounded by several 3000m peaks.
Especially in winter Fusch offers many opportunities for sports activities or even for winter walks. For example, you have the choice between the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See with its snow-assured slopes, the glacier ski area Kitzsteinhorn and the small but beautiful ski area Maiskogel in Kaprun. There are also flat ski runs for the little ones directly in Fusch.
On our meadow directly behind the vacation village Ponyhof we have a ski lift for our guests in winter. The ski lift is located on a flat slope and is therefore especially suitable for the first steps of the 'little ones', but is also a lot of fun for the more experienced skiers.
An annual highlight in Fusch is the Oldtimer Tractor World Championship in autumn. Several hundred friends of old agricultural machines meet on this weekend to talk shop and drive a rally over the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. In the evening there will of course be a cheerful award ceremony.
Dense and grey is the haze from the Zeller See above the Fuscher valley and darkens the sun. But up on the mountains there is bright sunshine. Theresia and Franz will take you on a picture-book journey to the wonderful winter landscape of the Ponyhofalm - here the winter of 2018 shows its most beautiful side.
Perhaps some of you have enjoyed a snack or a fresh beer on the terrace of our Mountain Pasture.
That is at the moment not possible. Currently our Mountain Pasture is drowning deep in the snow.
Whoever is at home in Austria should actually have climbed Austria's highest mountain at least once in their life - so they say. Not only for this reason, but also for the joy of hiking, Theresia and Franz and Florian climbed the 3798 m high Großglockner in wonderful weather in 2016 with the support of mountain guide Hubert. The reward for the effort is a magnificent summit cross photo.
In 2001 the first 'Ponyhof Group' climbed the Großglockner. With them were mountain guides Hubert, Rudi, Josef, Theo, Christoph, Florian and Ernst. It was an impressive experience for everyone.
It's holiday - the most beautiful time of the year - and nobody wants to think about a case of emergency. But the fire service had to be prepared for an emergency to be able to help reliably, quickly and professionally. Therefore a fire service drill took place at the Holiday Village Ponyhof at the 2014/10/03. The voluntary fire brigade Fusch practised together with the voluntary fire brigades of the neighbouring communes the teamwork of the different task forces. Overall 121 fire-fighters with miscellaneous emergency cars participated. The Holiday Village Ponyhof thanks all fire-fighters for the excellent work they have done.
